The Turtle Conservation & Research Programme (TCRP) is a scientific network dedicated to safeguarding the freshwater turtle species in India. It has been legally registered as an NGO named "TCRP Foundation" under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India (Under the Companies Act, 2013).

The TCRP seeks global input for local solutions to saving endangered turtles. The TCRP has been started in 2009 as a conservation network by a group of Indian biologists with community awareness and capacity building projects for conserving the Indian Freshwater Turtles and Tortoises.

The objectives of TCRP Foundation are:  Promotion of protection of environment, science, education, research, social welfare, biodiversity conservation; Promotion of Turtle conservation and biodiversity conservation research activity in India; Publication of research and awareness material for the scientific community and general public for human welfare; Publication of journal Asian Journal of Conservation Biology and newsletters for promotion of science education and awareness.
